Christmas Advent
In my growing up years, I don’t ever remember hearing about Advent. Â It wasn’t until I was an adult when I first heard about the idea. Â This year, there was a challenge on Facebook from Rethink Church (http://umrethinkchurch.tumblr.com/Advent-photo-a-day) to post a picture each day that went along with a word for the day.
Although I did not complete it before Christmas arrived, I wanted to share the pictures with you, along with the word for each day and the verse from the Bible. Â Some of the words were challenging to come up with something visual to represent it, but with a bit of thought and creativity, I was able to come up with one that worked for me. Â Any of the photos that you are wondering why they were chosen, just ask. Â If you click on the pictures, you can see them better.
